Does Retin a help with indented acne scars?

I ordered retin a 0.05% yesterday to help with some indented icepick scars on the sides of my face. I have heard that retin a can help with mild scarring but not with more severe scarring. My scarring is fairly mild so I'm helping the retin a will help my icepick scars.
