Do you think it is a good idea for me to get my nose pierced?

I'm going to be twelve really soon. I want to get my nose pierced for my twelfth birthday, but my mom and dad both say no. Do you think it is a good idea for me to get my nose pierced? How can I convince my parents to let me?
